Welcome to Soccer in the Shuswap!
The Winder Indoor Session is now CLOSED for registrations. We are at max capacity but if you are interested in playing please email email@example.com and you will be put on the waitlist. If any registered ladies are unable to make it we will contact you to join a team.
Games are on Thursday evenings starting January 5 and running until March 16. Fees will be $120 and include 10 full games and 1 wind up tournament. Games are all played at the SASCU Indoor Sports Complex located at #315 441 – 3 Street SW, Salmon Arm. Game times will be changing as the break between games will go from 15 minute to 10 minutes so we can get out of the arena earlier than last session.
Thank you to all the members of our fall indoor session for showing up each week, even through the cold and snow. The season has been great and the games have been entertaining to say the least! We are very pleased to announce that our fundraising efforts during our wind up tournament night raised $496.60 from our members! Thank you everyone for your generous donations. The Association will match those funds (plus a little top up) to donate $1,000 to the SAFE Society Hamper Program. Way to go ladies!!!
Some people may be shocked to learn that 20% of Canadians are relying on some kind of food security program right now – whether that is a breakfast program for their kids, foodbanks, or subsidized food programs. Worse, many are likely to skip meals to make ends meet. We know there are a lot of initiatives to choose from this time of year, so please do not feel obligated. We chose the SAFE Society because it is an organization primarily focused on women and children and the board feels that is an important consideration as a women’s organization. If you are not familiar with the SAFE Society, please visit their website for more information: SafeSociety.ca
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
